Take your Spanish to the next level in Felipe Carrillo Puerto, a vibrant town off the tourist path. Live with a host family, enjoy regional meals, and study with bilingual teachers. Includes 18 hours/week of classes, cultural activities, and excursions. Students staying two weeks or more enjoy a cooking class. Optional add-ons and custom packages for groups available. family adventure Package
Create unforgettable memories as a family while learning Spanish together in a safe, welcoming environment. Stay with a host family, enjoy authentic meals, and take part in cultural activities and excursions tailored for all ages. Native-speaking teachers lead immersive lessons for both kids and adults. This experience blends education, adventure, and cultural exchange while supporting local communities through ethical, nonprofit-based travel and meaningful connection.
Maya Immersion
Learn Yucatec Maya through total cultural immersion in the Maya Zone. Stay with a Maya-speaking family and take lessons with native-speaking teachers. The program includes a city tour, welcome dinner, and cooking class for stays of two weeks or more. You'll also get a bike for exploring, a certificate of completion, and a Na’atik T-shirt. Optional volunteer work and intercultural exchanges available. This is a rare chance to connect deeply with living Maya language and culture.
Teen Package
This immersive program is perfect for adventurous teens ready to explore, learn, and grow. Students live with local families, take Spanish classes with qualified teachers, and join cultural activities and excursions. The program provides a safe, enriching environment to develop language skills, build confidence, and make lasting connections. Full support is provided by the Na’atik team, allowing teens to experience independent learning through real cultural exchange.

Janal Pixan (Día de muertos)
Celebrate Janal Pixán with Na’atik in a unique 9-day cultural experience in Felipe Carrillo Puerto. Stay with a Maya family, join community ceremonies, prepare traditional dishes, and visit Bacalar for an overnight trip. The program includes meals, transportation from Tulum, and guided activities. How To Get Here
Most of our students arrive in Mexico at either Cancun Airport or Tulum-Felipe Carrillo Puerto Airport. Transport options down to the school include bus, train and rental car. We also offer airport pickups in our school minivan. Please read our travel guide and recommendations when arranging your journey. Our team are also happy to provide guidance for you specifc journey.

Our Town
Na’atik’s colorful, bustling town, commonly called ‘Carrillo’, is just one hour south of Tulum and two hours north of Belize in Mexico’s Yucatan Peninsula. Carrillo is surrounded by green, low-brush jungle in the center of the state of Quintana Roo in the heartland of the Maya resistance. Some of the world’s most spectacular Caribbean beaches are just over an hour away.

Accommodation
We strongly recommend that you stay with a homestay family when you study with us. This is where you’ll master your language learning and will truly immerse yourself. All our homestay families try to make your stay comfortable so you can rest and have a wonderful time during your time in Carrillo Puerto. Homestays include three traditional homecooked meals a day.

Our philosophy is to teach real-life, communicative language skills in a student-centered environment that encourages our students to continue learning and growing outside the classroom. Our main goal is to get our students communicating in their target language, not to overanalyze grammar.
