October 28th

  • Pick up in Tulum

  • Brief program introduction

  • Drop off and dinner with homestay family

OCTOBER 29th

  • Orientation at Na’atik

  • Maya language class and Janal Pixán review

  • Join the English program’s Halloween bonanza with costumes, food, Haunted House, games and more!

October 30th

  • Learn to make a traditional Janal Pixán altar and help construct the Na’atik altar

October 31st

  • Day trip to the Maya community of Tihosuco to experience traditonal pib (earthen oven) cooking and Janal Pixán altar construction. Delicious local Maya lunch included

November 2nd

  • Learn to make pan de muerto (bread of the dead) and calveritas (decorated sugar skulls)

  • Participate in the town’s Janal Pixán activities in the central park.

  • Take a trip to kayak and swim in a beautiful lagoon

  • Participate in local Janal Pixán activities in the Central Park
