Creativity and Connection: Workshops in the Na’atik Library

Our library continued to host many wonderful workshops throughout the year all made possible thanks to our generous donors.

Each activity gave students the chance to learn, create, and express themselves in new ways. Our amazing librarian, Sophie, brought her own creativity and passion to every workshop, designing lessons that were educational, hands-on, and fun!

🎨 Street Art

Students explored the world of street art and learned how people use art to express themselves. The workshop ended with a stencil project, where students created their own designs and brought them to life with color.

⚖️ Balance

Students discovered the science behind balance and how our bodies keep us steady. Then they put their knowledge into practice by trying out slacklining a fun (and sometimes wobbly!) challenge that taught focus and coordination.

🌎 Clean Carrillo

Thanks to Sophie and Megan, this workshop was all about taking care of our planet. After learning about environmental responsibility, students went out into town to collect trash and help clean up the streets of Carrillo.

🎶 Music

Thanks to our Christmas fundraiser, we were able to buy new instruments including percussion instruments and ukuleles! Students learned music theor, tried out new sounds, and made music together in our library space.

🦢 Origami

In this creative workshop, Sophie taught students how to make beautiful designs out of paper. Folding animals, flowers, and other shapes became a relaxing and rewarding afternoon.

🏙️ City Planning

Students became city architects for a day! They learned what makes a city work, then designed and built their own models using recycled materials from around the school.

💡 Shark Tank

In our Na’atik version of Shark Tank, students became inventors and entrepreneurs. They designed products, pitched their ideas to the teachers, and learned how creativity and confidence go hand in hand.

Thank You for Making It Possible

Every one of these workshops was made possible because of donors like you. Your support helps us create spaces where students can learn by doing, express themselves freely, and discover new passions.

At Na’atik, our library isn’t just a place for books, it’s a place for imagination, growth, and community.

Thanks to you, our students are learning skills that reach far beyond the classroom.
